Original teaching in the tradition of Gurdjieff

The Enneagram
in its authentic form

A map of the universe. A key to knowing yourself.

Not a system of psychological types, but a living cosmic law — transmitted by G. I. Gurdjieff as a tool for the deep understanding of reality and of one's own inner nature.

«Without self-knowledge, without understanding one's own work and one's own functions, it is not possible for man to have a true understanding of himself.»
G. I. Gurdjieff

An esoteric and cosmic origin

The Enneagram was brought to the West by George Ivanovich Gurdjieff in the early decades of the twentieth century. Not as a tool for classifying personality, but as a graphic representation of the fundamental laws of the universe — the Law of Three and the Law of Seven — which govern every process of transformation, from music to chemistry, from inner evolution to the motion of the celestial bodies.

In this view, the symbol does not describe who you are, but how reality works, and how you can move consciously within it.

Three elements, one law

Gurdjieff's Enneagram is composed of three distinct geometric figures, each carrying a precise and verifiable meaning.

Circle

The unity and totality of every process. It represents the completeness of any cycle, from beginning to end.

Triangle

The Law of Three — every phenomenon arises from the interaction of three forces: active, passive and neutralizing. Points 3, 6 and 9 correspond to the shock points in processes.

Octave

The Law of Seven — every process unfolds in seven phases (the musical octave). The inner line (1→4→2→8→5→7) traces the path of every transformation.

Two uses of the same symbol

It is important to understand the difference between the original use of the symbol and its modern psychological reworking.

The fruits of the authentic Enneagram

Understanding the Enneagram in its original form is not a path of intellectual entertainment. It is a real, measurable transformation in the way you perceive yourself, others and the world.

01
Self-Knowledge

Understanding your own automatic mechanisms, your inertia and your blind spots — not through labels, but through direct observation of how you truly function.

02
Understanding Others

Reading relational processes with new clarity. Less judgment, more awareness. Misunderstandings dissolve once you understand the law that generates them.

03
Orientation within Processes

Recognizing which phase any process is in — a project, a relationship, a stage of life — and knowing what to do at every moment.

04
Real Inner Work

Not abstract theory but concrete tools for inner change. Gurdjieff's Enneagram was conceived as a guide for those who truly want to evolve.

05
A Coherent View of the World

A solid frame of reference for interpreting any phenomenon. Art, science, relationships, history: everything becomes legible through the same fundamental laws.

06
Certainty Grounded in Laws

Unlike psychological trends, the cosmic laws on which the original Enneagram is based do not change. This knowledge has a solidity that no personality system can match.

Scholar of Gurdjieff's Enneagram

I encountered the Enneagram in its original form many years ago, through a direct transmission rooted in the Gurdjieffian tradition. Since then I have devoted years of study and practice to understanding this extraordinary symbol — not as an intellectual curiosity, but as a living instrument of knowledge and transformation.

Today I offer this teaching to those who feel the desire to go beyond psychological labels and touch something more solid: a knowledge founded on laws that do not change.

The Law of Three: how every phenomenon is born

According to Gurdjieff, nothing can manifest in the universe without the meeting of three distinct forces: an active force, a passive force and a neutralizing force. Not two — three. This is the principle on which the triangle of the Enneagram is founded, and understanding this law radically changes the way we see every event in our lives.

The moment the symbol stopped being a drawing

I remember exactly when the Enneagram stopped being, for me, an interesting geometric figure and became something alive. It wasn't during a reading, nor in a seminar. It was an ordinary Tuesday morning, watching how a work project had run aground exactly where I should have expected it to.

The musical octave and the Law of Seven

Why does every process — a relationship, a project, a life — tend to deviate from its original course? Gurdjieff answered this question using the musical scale as a model. Do-Re-Mi-Fa-Sol-La-Ti: within those seven steps lies hidden the law of every transformation.

Why I teach this and not the psychology of types

I'm often asked this. My answer is always the same: one describes character, the other describes reality. One tells you who you are, the other explains how the world works. The choice, for me, has never been difficult.

The Course on Gurdjieff's Enneagram

The course is designed for those who want to encounter the Enneagram in its authentic form: not a superficial overview, but a serious and in-depth study of the cosmic laws the symbol describes. It is taught in a group of no more than seven people, live or online, with no difference in content or in the commitment required.

A note on the method: this teaching cannot be learned by reading a book. It requires direct transmission, dialogue, and above all the time needed to verify what is studied through one's own experience. The course structure is designed to respect this pace — not to speed it up.
